We are so excited to be adding a Vintage Market this year!

Over 10,000 people participate in festivities such as: burro races, llama races, kids pack dog races, outhouse races, a parade, kids rides, gold panning, live music, arts, crafts and food booths, barn dance & BBQ, pancake breakfast, Cowboy Church services and more!

This is a fundraising event - A PORTION OF THE PROCEEDS FROM BURRO DAYS ARE DONATED TO SOUTH PARK SCHOOLS, (preschool – high school) THROUGH A FALL FUNDING PROCESS EACH YEAR!

ABOUT THE BURRO DAYS VINTAGE MARKET
Although this is the 69th year for our event, this is our first year to host a Vintage Market! We believe the excitement surrounding Vintage Markets these days will only enhance our already well-attended event. We have a specific area set aside for market vendors while other art and food vendors are located separately, but nearby, as you will see on Booth Chart 1 (download below). The market will be located in a park on grass and any vintage vehicles, such as buses will be placed next to the park on the street. Our market will be well-marked and signage directing visitors towards the market will be located throughout the Burro Days event site.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for Vintage Market vendors that offer unique vintage, antique, repurposed, upcycled and handmade items set up in a booth space that feels like a shop or boutique. Vintage inspired clothing and home décor are also accepted in limited quantities. Since this is our first year, we are open to suggestions!

VENDOR SPACE AND PRICE INFORMATION
We are offering a FIRST YEAR SPECIAL BOOTH FEE for Vintage Market vendors of $125 for a 10’ x 15’ booth space. You may request more than one booth space if needed. Vendor applications must include photos or links to online photos at time of submission. We will allow for a bit of overflow space around your booths. You are responsible for bringing your own tents, tables, chairs, etc. We are supplying the space only. This is an outdoor event at 9,953 feet in elevation so you should be prepared for sunshine, rain, wind and yes even snow on occasion! This event goes on no matter what the weather and no refunds are issued due to weather. We do not allow staking of tents into the lawn due to an existing irrigation system, but you must put weights on your tent to keep it in place.

VENDOR SET UP AND SHOW TIMES
The Vintage Market area will be available for vendors to begin setting up at Noon on Friday. The streets around the park will not be closed until 5pm Friday so you will need to be aware of traffic. Vendors are not allowed to leave their vehicles around the perimeter of the park during event hours, there is free designated vendor parking. If your booth is housed in a vehicle we will make special arrangements with you. Hours for all booths will be published as 9:30am – 4pm on Saturday and Sunday. Please do not begin to close down before 4pm on either day. All vendors/exhibitors are asked to leave their area clean after the activities are over on Sunday. Trash cans are provided to dispose of any waste paper and other debris (additional trash bags are available at the Burro Booth).

Please dispose of large pieces of trash and boxes in the large dumpsters provided.

All vendors attending Fairplay Burro Days must have a valid / current Colorado Sales Tax license. Licensing information may be obtained on the Colorado Department of Revenue website www.taxcolorado.com or by calling 303-238-7378. Please allow ample processing time for these licenses.

HOW WILL PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT BURRO DAYS AND THE VINTAGE MARKET?
As an event that has been consistently run for 69 years, we have quite an incredible following of visitors including local residents, second homeowners, destination travelers as well as those who just happen upon us during Burro Days weekend. Word of mouth is awesome! We do advertise in Park, Lake, Chaffee and Summit counties using print and radio ads. We also print 10,000 "Burro Newspapers" that are inserted throughout Lake, Chaffee and Park county newspapers the week before the event. We send out press releases to Front Range television and radio stations and most recently we were mentioned in the Denver Post, the New York Times and an international running publication from Germany. Burro Days does have a Facebook page and a website in addition to the Town of Fairplay’s Facebook page and website. We are preparing to delve into the world of Instagram very soon as well. Of course, we would appreciate all of you helping to promote our event the best way you have available to you and we are happy to get posters to you if that would be helpful. Signage is a very important part of our set up at Burro Days and you can rest assured shoppers will know where the Vintage Market is!

The deadline for all applications and fees is July 8th, 2017, unless we sell out first! You will be notified by email of your acceptance into the Burro Days Vintage Market once your application and fee are received.

All fees are non-refundable after July 1st, 2017.
